The Carbon Offsetting Process

Carbon offsetting requires:

1. a source of carbon credits (the Project, which reduces its carbon emissions in a measurable way),
2. a carbon registry (Credible Carbon, which uses carbon auditors to confirm that the claimed emission reductions are real and then registers them),
3. and buyers who wish to reduce their carbon footprint by purchasing carbon credits and retiring them (this is called offsetting).
