African delegation visits energy facility

A high profile delegation from East Africa visited the Siemens North Riding energy management manufacturing facility to broaden their insight on the company’s low and medium voltage solutions offerings, the location of its factory and its contribution to Africa’s sustainable energy future. The delegation included African utilities and regulators who are visiting the country for an energy conference. Delegates from Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, South Sudan, Nigeria and Tanzania attended the site visit and were taken through the energy management plant while discussing Siemens’ end-to-end energy management solutions for Africa. As an investor in the African continent, Siemens supplies power supply technologies and offers its customers an extensive range of digital products and solutions, including intelligent grid management and innovative storage solutions. Vice president for Energy Management, Siemens southern and eastern Africa Shahriar Khayyam says that the company is helping to close the gaps in energy supply and to make energy production, transmission, and distribution smarter.
