African hydro plant a finalist for infrastructure design award

The Kholombidzo Hydro Power Electric Plant in Blantyre, Malawi has been named a finalist project in the Bentley Systems 2017 Be Inspired Awards Program’s BIM Advancements in the Power Generation category. The company responsible for this project is engineering and environmental consultants COBA Group. The annual awards honour the outstanding work of Bentley users advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world.

Ten independent jury panellists comprising distinguished industry experts selected the 51 finalists from more than 400 nominations submitted by organisations in more than 50 countries. Winners will be announced during Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2017 Conference, which will be held from 10 to 12 October 2017 in Singapore. The conference features keynotes, technology presentations, panel discussions, finalists’ presentations, and an awards ceremony and gala.
