To address increased demand for its services, Rand-Air has added 52 new generators to its rental fleet, from 60 to 500 kVA. The new generators are also a commitment to customers to ensure that they have prime power available as and when they need it. While the company does supply customers with generators for standby power (for example during power outages or emergencies), it mainly supplies customers with “prime power” or generators which will be used as a primary power source.
The company has introduced an updated controller so that its generators are able to communicate and operate synergistically in parallel or in series. In addition (and as an exceptionally useful accessory), the new units now feature a distribution board as an integral part of the generator’s trailer.
