Planning ahead for SAEEC’s Africa Energy Indaba 2019

The South African Electrotechnical Export Council (SAEEC)’s planning is already underway for the 2019 Africa Energy Indaba which is scheduled to take place between the 19 – 20 February 2019. The SAEEC has been approved for funding to host delegates again at the event. High level energy officials will be brought in from Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe. The event will provide the opportunity for members to be aligned to the SAEEC Pavilion which will be well branded and positioned to ensure maximum exposure for the SAEEC and member companies.

The SAEEC will host a meeting room on its stand for meetings with African energy delegates. All SAEEC members will be welcome to make use of this facility on a first-come first-served booking system. The diary for the bookings will be managed by the SAEEC.

All exhibitors may make use of the Africa Energy Indaba Business Matchmaking Programme. The Business Matchmaking will be hosted in the exhibition hall and should result in quality business meetings, thereby maximising participation and helping companies to derive a return on investment for their participation.

The Africa Energy Indaba hosts four conference programmes:

18 February 2019: Africa Gas Forum
18 February 2019: Women in Energy Conference
19 February 2019: Africa Energy Indaba Conference
20 February 2019: Africa Energy Indaba Conference
21 February 2019: IPP & PPA Conference

Companies with stands larger than 36 m2 will be provided a session to present their products and services in the seminar or workshop theatres in the exhibition hall. These presentations usually prove to be popular with the trade visitors to the exhibition and they are offered at no cost. These seminars and workshops will be hosted for the full duration of the event.

Locally owned and managed companies participating in the Africa Energy Indaba can use their spend to claim BEE points under the new codes. The SAEEC, supported by the Department of Trade and Industry, will also embark in extensive advertising in both local and international media platforms for this event.
